Since 2001, I've helped people grow and experience themselves in new ways – with greater ease, centered power, and embodied wisdom.

My PHILOSOPHY:

It's not about the pose

Yoga empowers you with embodied wisdom and the skills to unite your body and mind with greater intelligence, ease, and friendliness. It's never about forcing yourself into a pose – even subtly.

Use the latest mind-body science

New studies show that people transform more when they understand what they're doing and why. I infuse my teaching with practices and principles culled from the latest research on anatomy, neuroscience, and the neuromyofascial net to help you release unconscious holding patterns, balance your brain and parasympathetic nervous system, and transform.

Language matters

The right cueing – and metaphors – help new and old students alike to feel and understand the energy, purpose, and gestalt of a pose or meditation technique.

experience matters

Yoga studios are churning out young teachers at a rapid clip, many new to yoga themselves. It takes years to develop the art of teaching body, mind, and spirit with depth and sensitivity – and learn to give insightful answers to a wide range of students' anatomical, psychological, emotional, and spiritual questions. There's a reason yoga is called one of the world's "wisdom" traditions.

Rebecca brings a special gift to her teaching – a rare ability to articulate the structure and purpose of each pose in a way I have not experienced in other yoga classes.
